Josh Swearingen, a personal trainer at “Metabolic” gym in Liverpool says metabolic training is about getting the biggest bang for your buck by doing interval training—bouts of harder work followed by rest intervals. Swearingen says metabolic training helps you build muscle mass while at the same time burn calories even after your workout is finished without taking too much time out of your day. Best of all he says the workouts are constantly changing so you never get tired of doing the same exercise over and over again.
“It’s a 45 minute workout full body strength workout every single day and it’s always changing, it’s never the same,” he says.
